Smart notifications not working on Fenix 5 (Wifi)

my Garmin Fenix 5 does not display any smart notifications since about two weeks.
The watch connects to my phone (iPhone 6s) without problems and also shows incoming calls.

Any notification of apps/calendar is unfortunately not displayed.

Is anybody facing the same issues and already found a solution?

I already did the following several times:

- Opened Garmin Connect App and removed the watch from the app and removed the watch from bluetooth
- Factory reset the watch
- Logged into Garmin Dashboard and removed watch from there
- Uninstalled Garmin Connect from iPhone
- Rebooted Phone
- Installed Garmin Connect App
- Rebooted watch and went through setup and pairing with the watch

Smart notifications are activated (see attached photo).

Any help is much appreciated.

i get same problem with my fenix 5, I’m using iPhone X OS11.

i can revive incoming call , email and SMS. But can’t revive from WhatsApp, facebook msg or others.

I sent email to garmin report this problem, but they never reply me , damn.

I'm now also having this issue, not receiving any notifications at all.

Seems like everyone is having the same issue. I've been through all the settings on the watch, Garmin Connect App and on Phone. It works for some random length of time if I turn the watch off and then back on but you never know how long. For $700 I shouldn't have to turn off and back on the watch all the time. It should just work! If you look around, everyone has the same issue. Seems like this watch is a pile of garbage. Just thinking of all the other things I could have spent $700.00 on.

Any solutions found yet? I have a new Fenix 5 WiFi and I don't get any notifications whatsoever on my watch. Is it a settings issue? Or is it a known bug?

first of all: thanks for your responses!
After I initially posted my problem above, I have restored my Fenix 5 for at least two to three more times. At some day, the notifications reappeared and the watch seemed to work without bugs again.

However, and that is why I am revisiting this blog entry, the notifications have stopped to work again two weeks ago.
Did anybody of you find a solution?

What watch-faces are you using? The standard ones or individualized faces?

My watch WhatsApp notification is working now .
But I don’t know it is just lucky or others .
I’m just did turn off notification and turn on again in my iPhone setting , than it’s working.

Where did you go on your iPhone to turn off and turn on notification? I have an iPhone8+ with iOS11. So notifications are to be switched on and off by individual app. Am I missing something here? Pls let me know.

i just turn off notification and turn on again in my iPhone iOS settings-> notification-> WhatsApp-> notification-> allow notification-> turn off and than turn on.

I don’t know the problem was from here or not , at least I’m still working in this two days. but u can try , hope this can help you.

Jakob - I'm using the standard watchfaces. For the record, since the time I posted here, I gave up trying to resolve the notifications issue and sent my Fenix5 Sapphire Black back to the retailer and exchanged it with a Fenix5 (non-Sapphire) Slate Grey. Sadly, the 'no notification' issue is still persisting and driving me nuts. I'm using the std watchfaces; not added anything from the IQ Store.
