Absolutely awful and disappointing. Brought flights online for $250, immediately realised I made a mistake and needed flights for the next week, which is $360? Immediately called to change the flights- it cost me an extra $365 to change my flights! So $620 in total for flights they are selling for $360. I could have bought 4 flights for $5 less. These are flights booked about a month in advance and I called within 2 minutes for booking realizing my mistake. What an absolute scam!

I booked a flight on your online site…Shocking Service

I booked a flight on your online site on the 23rd December 2023 to Dublin.

Your Reference - 15121728

My ticket was JHb to Abu Dhabi to Heathrow to Dublin .

I arrived at OR Tambo at 5.30am on the 29th February 2023 to check in to my flight . It was then that I discovered that I needed a transit visa to enter the UK . I have never needed a transit visa for any trip I have been on.

Etihad airlines were brilliant and tried to assist me immediately by simply changing my ticket, right there and then without me having to fly through Heathrow. When they tried to assist me, my ticket was registered as blocked by Flight Centre, so it was blocked to Etihad , and they could not assist me in changing my ticket immediately.

I started to call your emergency line at :

6.57am - went to voicemail

6.58 am - no response

7.15am - no response

7.22am - finally spoke to your emergency line which told me that Etihad should be able to access the ticket

8.50am - After speaking to Etihad , who was more than willing to assist me , they still could not open the ticket

Eventually I got hold of Preishree Reddy from Flight Centre at 9.15am , and she tried to assist me . She asked if I was still at the airport , which I was . She wanted to know if I had been booked as a no show , so I went to the Etihad boarding gates , and the Etihad Supervisor there , said no , I had NOT been booked as a no show , and that I could fly tomorrow , the 1st March 2024.However when I told this to Preishree , she told me I had been booked as a no show , which is incorrect .

I have now been forced to book a second ticket to Dublin with Flight Centre for which I was charged R 8066.00 . I pre booked my seats on my Etihad flight which cost me a further R 800 , which I have lost , as well as my first accomodation that I had booked into in Dublin , where I lost R 5000.

Needless to say , I am completely unimpressed with @Flight Centre service , as well as your supposed emergency assistance .

Secondly , your baggage allowance for my flight on my itinary was 40 kg . This information is also incorrect and was fortunately pointed out to me before my departure date , that you have to have two suitcases with 23kg each . So if I had arrived at the airport with 1 suitcase of 40 kg , that would have cost me another load of money to buy a second suitcase at the airport .

Would you have paid for that extra expense ?

I would like this email forwarded to your General Manager of Flight Centre , so that he or she is aware of the absolute trauma ,stress , and loss of money, that I can ill afford to lose,that I experienced due to Flight Centre emergency centre being completely unavailable and unhelpful , whereas Etihad customer service answered immeadiately , and tried their utmost to assist me . Flight Centre could learn a lot from Etihad .

I even sent an email to your c8stime service on 13 June with referance 78716 asking for your General Managers contact details. Still waiting for a reply to this day!

We have booked at flight centre at Murray bridge sa. What a lovley atmosphere there. All staff are friendly happy and know their stuff especially Hanna who is an efficient helpful funny and excellent at her job. The manager there Donna is also excellent.

Musa scammed me

I am simply overwhelmed by the Musa sales representative. He helped me purchase plane tickets that were supposed to be "cheap" he claimed the cost would be $574. I looked at my credit charge and I see he charged me $2K. I've been chasing him for weeks and every day I get another excuse.
My recommendation is to avoid them, Musa will steal your precious money like he did to me.

Booking was fine

Booking was fine; FC doesn't use "cheap"(?) airlines, also I was unable to get boarding pass on line, nor from self-service terminals at airport.
This may be Scoot Airlines policy. Changing my flights was impossible with FC bcos their consultant could not speak intelligible English, 45 min of wasted time.
Contacted Scoot directly, problem resolved in 5 min, plaudits to JOEL!

I do not recommend this travel agency…

I do not recommend this travel agency to any body at all. According to the ticket conditions, I was entitled to carry two checked baggage pieces, each 23kg. I confirmed it just before proceeding with my payment with one of their agents.
However, the day before my travel, I received an email for online check-in. Upon proceeding with the online check-in, I discovered that the baggage allowance was different from what was stated on my ticket. I was required to pay an additional 100 CAD for two checked 23 bags. It was an noncompliance between what I bought and what it was served. a total mess the day before my travel that caused me a lot of stress. I needed to pay an extra 100$. i felt i was teased but my ticket. I discussed it with Flight Center agents and supervisors couples of times but any time they just repeated their words of refusal to accept the condition of their ticket. this inconvenience impacted my return ticket as well.
It is a real dishonesty and cheating in selling and customer service.
I won't recommend it to any body. I won't go back again ever to them. The worst ever experience I had with them. I have filed several complains with different authorities for this swindle.

Flight Centre Duplicate booking

We purchased return tickets from Cape Town to Athens for a trip in June 2023. upon departure from Athens we were told that there had been a duplicated booking and we were not allowed to board. We had to sleep in Athens Airport and then buy one way tickets to get us home at a cost of R46,000 for the 2 tickets. No-one responds to my many emails or my phone calls!! It has been 7 months and I can't get this issue resolved!

Beware do not use this company

Beware do not use this company. I booked with Flight Centre Kelowna for a trip to Disneyland in October. I noticed on my credit card that they had booked the hotel and the Disneyland tickets through Expedia(not sure what they are good for). they charged me to do this booking which I could have done myself. The hotel they book us at (Howard Johnson) was had extremely dirty rooms I have pictures) I called them on the first night that we got in to tell them we were running a little behind but we were on our way, the clerk that answered the phone said that the reservation was cancelled as they don't guarantee the reservation through 3 party bookers. They said that they had overbooked and needed our room for someone else. I phoned Flight Centre and told Carly that this happened and she said Ok but she didn't seem to care. I have used Flight Centre on 6 other occasions but no more from now on I will book the trip myself as they did nothing for me.

Incompetent or deliberate extortion, you decide?

I booked with Flight Centre Chelmsford GB for flights to NZ for a family party of 4. I gave the staff member P. (he knows who he is), all the information he needed for the booking, in writing. Despite having this information in front of him P. spelled one of our names incorrectly.
I was not aware of the spelling mistake and as everything seemed in order, I paid in full, the not inconsiderable cost of the tickets.
The very next day, was told about the error so I contacted P. at Flight Centre and was informed there was a £70 charge to correct his mistake!
Both he and his overseer refused to cover this charge so I had no choice but to pay up. I later checked the Malaysian Airlines site and discovered they allow for up to a 3 letter change of name free of charge. I am almost certain the Flight Center would be aware of this fact. Therefore not only did they make the error, they proceeded to profit from it.
A few weeks before we were due to fly, I was informed I had to undergo an emergency operation on my spine. This meant I would be unfit to fly so had to cancel my ticket. I visited the Flight Centre and spoke to P. He said that apart from an admin charge they would refund my ticket. A while later, he contacted me to ask if I had travel insurance, I said yes, which was a big mistake because shortly after he contacted me again,saying actually Flight Centre Chelmsford would not refund my ticket , I would have to claim my costs from my travel insurance.
Again, I checked the Malaysian Airline site and they do have a refund policy so I emailed them about my situation. They replied at once asking for details but once they knew I had booked with Flight Centre there was nothing they could do. So I claimed a refund from my travel insurance company. This is not a simple task and involves supplying medical proof at an additional cost of £50 plus email downloads and lots of waiting. I finally received a partial refund from my insurers at the end of April.
If I had booked directly with Malaysian Airlines, the name change would not have happened and they would have refunded me due to a medical emergency. On reflection, it was not only expensive but a very unenjoyable experience booking with Chelmsford Flight Centre.
In my experience, once you have paid they have you over a barrel so I would strongly advise using a reputable travel agent.
